Temecula woodworker Peter Campbell entered three pieces in the San Diego County Fair's Design in Wood competition, and two of those won both first-place category awards and special awards.
Both of the special awards were given by the San Diego Woodturners Club. Campbell’s creation “Wall Hanging” won first place in the Wood Turning - Embellished/Mixed Media class while “Midnight” was given the premier award for the Wood Turning – Center Work – Parallel to the Ways of the Lathe category. San Diego Woodturners provided donated awards both for embellished mixed media and for center work parallel to the ways of the lathe.
