MSJC Football: Eagles pick up second straight win, dominate LA Southwest

The Mt. San Jacinto College football team fell behind 8-0 Saturday, Sept. 14, and came back to score 51 straight points on their way to a 58-21 non-conference win over visiting team, LA Southwest.The Eagles were aggressive from the opening kickoff as they attempted an on-side kick to open the game, but the Cougars were able to recover the ball and set themselves up in good field position. A nine play 45-yard drive ensued that resulted in an LA Southwest touchdown, and it looked like the Eagles may have their hands full on the hot afternoon. MSJC quickly struck back however on the very next play from scrimmage when Brett Virgil connected with running back Sherod White on a 30-yard touchdown pass, which was made possible by a 66-yard kick return by Alonzo Bell.
