Firefighters were mopping up a brush fire Monday, Sept. 16, that broke out in a remote area of the San Bernardino National Forest near Lake Hemet late Sunday.The brusher, dubbed the Bautista Fire, was reported about 7:30 p.m. in Bautista Canyon east of Hemet and south of Idyllwild, according to the San Bernardino National Forest.Crews halted forward progress of the fire at 163 acres overnight, and the blaze went from no containment Sunday night to 60% containment Monday evening, San Bernardino National Forest officials said on Twitter.By late Monday, there was no longer an active flame, but light smoke was continuing to emanate from the burn area, caused by interior smoldering, according to forest officials.Air crews and a night-flying helicopter assisted with the blaze Sun
