Nico Melendez was the featured speaker at the ceremony held at Menifee’s Central Park and reminded residents to always remember the 2,996 people who died.Paper luminaries marked with the names of those who died in the attacks were placed on both sides of the walkways throughout the park. Each one was made by Menifee school children.
