Anza enjoys a community meal

The Friends Uniting Neighbors Group, the Living Hope Christian Fellowship of Anza and an army of volunteers served Anza residents a hot, home-cooked meal Sunday, Sept. 29, at the Community Hall in Anza. Meatloaf, homemade macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy and handmade cookies created by Chef Tony Onzures and his wife Stephanie were on the menu. A vegetable medley, salad, hot dogs, beans and cupcakes were also offered to complete the comfort food theme. “I peeled 30 pounds of potatoes last night,” Tony Onzures said with a grin.
