Temecula Valley Symphony and Symphony Chorus will perform the world premiere of a new work composed by Melissa Manchester, arranged for chorus and orchestra by Peter Hume during the “Fantastic Journey” concert Saturday, Oct. 5, at 2 p.m. at the Golden Bear Theater at Temecula Valley High School.Manchester, the Grammy Award-winning singer, and Oscar-nominated composer, is expected to be in attendance when the symphony performs “AWAKE” at the Golden Bears Theater at Temecula Valley High School.Symphony conductor John Mario helped make the connection between Manchester and the local symphony and chorus.“I did have the pleasure of accompanying Melissa Manchester on a concert with her in the desert last season for the Coachella Valley Symp
