Tow airplane ends up on its roof, two injured in Lake Elsinore

LAKE ELSINORE — Cal Fire Riverside County Fire reported an aircraft emergency at 12:07 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4 that involved a tow airplane that ended up on its roof, causing injury to the two people inside. The Federal Aviation Association and National Transportation Safety Board will be investigating the incident that occurred in the 20000 block of Cereal Street in Lake Elsinore. Two airplanes typically are used to pull gliders into the sky to release them at the requested elevation. There was no indication of what caused the light airplane to end up on its roof.
