Man charged with striking Lake Elsinore pedestrian during dispute

MURRIETA (CNS) - A man accused of hitting a pedestrian with a stolen pickup truck during a confrontation in Lake Elsinore was charged today with assault with a deadly weapon, among other offenses. Anthony Lee Trejo, 56, of Lake Elsinore was arrested Saturday night after the alleged attack in the area of Joy Street and Riverside Drive. Along with the assault count, Trejo is charged with receiving a stolen vehicle. He's being held on $25,000 bail at the Byrd Detention Center and is slated to make his initial court appearance this afternoon at the Southwest Justice Center in Murrieta.
