NUEVO (CNS) - Firefighters battled a blaze in Nuevo Wednesday that involved multiple structures and prompted evacuation orders amid high winds and low humidity.
The Water Fire broke out at 7:19 a.m. in the 26000 block of Water Avenue. Evacuations were ordered on Water Avenue east of El Nido, Emerett Lane east of El Nido, and Orange Avenue east of El Nido.
No injuries were reported, but officials said the fire had "burned multiple structures.''
At 12:15 p.m., officials with Cal Fire Riverside announced that all evacuations had been lifted and the fire was fully contained at five acres.
Three outbuildings and two vehicles destroyed in the fire.
The cause was under investigation.
