Anza man arrested on stolen vehicle, marijuana, weapons possession charges

ANZA (CNS) - A man allegedly caught with several stolen vehicles, hundreds of pounds of marijuana and multiple guns at his Anza home was being held Wednesday in lieu of $50,000 bail. Joel Ramos, 29, was booked into the Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta on suspicion of being in possession of stolen cars, possession of marijuana for sale, being a felon in possession of firearms, possession of an explosive device and probation violations, according to Hemet police Sgt. Bob Nishida. About 7 a.m. Tuesday, members of the Hemet-San Jacinto Valley Gang Task Force served a search warrant at Ramos' residence in the 39600 block of Quionnes Road, near Scouts Lane, based on an investigation that indicated illicit activity at the location, the sergeant said.
