Armed felon caught selling meth in Perris sentenced

RIVERSIDE (CNS) - A convicted felon who sold methamphetamine out of his Perris home, where he kept a loaded handgun, was sentenced Thursday to four years in state prison.Robert Alcantar Lopez, 45, pleaded guilty last month to possession of controlled substances for sale, being a felon in possession of a firearm and possession of illegal drugs while armed.Riverside County Superior Court Judge O.G. Mango certified the terms of the plea agreement and imposed the sentence stipulated by the prosecution and defense.According to sheriff's Sgt. Aaron Avila, on the morning of June 28, deputies served a search warrant at Lopez's residence in the 300 block of Bond Drive, near Weston Road, based on suspicions of narcotics dealing at the property.During the search, deputies seized 2.5 o
