WILDOMAR – Deck the hall with bows on collies! Animal Friends of the Valleys will host their first “Howliday Open House” Wednesday, Dec. 18, from 3-7 p.m. This free, fun-filled family event will feature a variety of child-friendly activities including cocoa with a kitty, caroling at the kennels, reading to rescues and a “Name a Shelter Pet” contest. The shelter will offer photo opportunities with their mascot Rascal and a special holiday keepsake craft activity.“The holidays are a perfect time to spend some time with our shelter cats and dogs,” Monica Wylie, executive director for Animal Friends of the Valleys, said. “Pets need socialization and human interaction to develop physically and emotionally.
