Two separate crashes in south Temecula caused injuries and blocked traffic Thursday afternoon. The first one, a two-vehicle collision, happened about 3:45 p.m. on Pechanga Parkway near Loma Linda Road, according to Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Tawny Cabral. One person sustained minor injuries. Less than 10 minutes after that collision, a crash involving four vehicles was reported a little further south on Pechanga Parkway near Casino Drive, according to Cabral. Three people had to be taken to a local hospital with minor to moderate injuries as a result of the second accident, Cabral said. The aftermath of the two crashes were still causing traffic to back up on Pechanga Parkway as of about 5:30 p.m. Will Fritz can be reached by email at wfritz@reedermedia.co
