Foster mother arrested, charged for allegedly abusing foster children
Kim HarrisManaging EditorYoko Isaac, 43, of Temecula entered a plea of “not guilty” to 14 felony charges of abuse Friday, Dec. 20. She was arraigned following an investigation by Riverside County Sheriff’s Department ending in her arrest for abuse of her foster children Wednesday, Dec. 18. The charges stem from the arrival of a 3-year-old child to an area hospital with injuries “suspicious in nature,” the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said. According to sheriff’s officials, the investigation revealed Isaac allegedly physically and verbally abused both the 3-year-old girl and her 11-year-old brother while in Isaac’s custody.The siblings were the only children in Isaac’s care and were relocated by social services during the investigation.
