LAKE ELSINORE (CNS) - The Riverside County coroner's office Sunday released the name of a man killed by a hit-and-run motorist while standing on the shoulder of Grand Avenue in Lake Elsinore.
Shawn Crouch, 46, lived in Lake Elsinore, the coroner said.
Crouch was standing on the shoulder when was struck at about 9:15 p.m. Friday by an unknown red sedan that was southbound on Grand Avenue at Sangston Drive, said California Highway Patrol Sgt. M. von Voigt.
The driver fled the scene, von Voigt said.
Paramedics took Crouch to Inland Valley Medical Center, where he died early Saturday, the coroner's office said.
