RSO: Illegal marijuana grow discovered at Wildomar home

A Christmas Eve search warrant allowed deputies to determine a Wildomar home had been turned into the site of an illicit marijuana grow, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department said Friday.According to sheriff's Sgt. Glenn Warrington, deputies received complaints at the end of November regarding possible illegal cannabis cultivation going on in Wildomar.On Dec. 24, the sheriff's department served a warrant at a home in the 25800 block of Via Sarah, which is located in a neighborhood north of Clinton Keith Road just outside the Murrieta city limits.Investigators located and collected marijuana plants at the home and determined the residence's electrical system had been illegally altered, "causing a severe fire hazard and theft of utilities," Warrington said.According to Wa
