Victim of fatal hit-and-run collision in Aguanga identified

AGUANGA (CNS) - The coroner's office on Saturday identified a 63-year-old woman who was killed in a collision in Aguanga caused by a hit-and-run driver who slammed into her car after impacting another vehicle and losing control at high speed. The wreck happened about 6:15 a.m. Friday on state Route 371 north of Wilson Valley Road, the California Highway Patrol said. The victim, identified as Joan Terlisner of Aguanga, was driving her 2001 Mercedes Benz southbound on the highway when the suspect, whose identity and whereabouts remain unknown, approached from the opposite direction. The man was at the wheel of a 2011 Nissan Versa, going at "a high rate of speed,'' Officer Mike Lassig said.
