MENIFEE – The Menifee City Council voted to adopt the final version of the city’s updated development code at a Dec. 18 city council meeting. The new zoning code will be effective 30 days after formal adoption and can be viewed on the city’s website.The city’s previous ordinances guiding development were prepared for Riverside County before incorporation and were updated to more accurately reflect and properly implement the city’s general plan, adopted in 2013.“The new Menifee-specific zoning, subdivision and grading ordinances are more consistent with our general plan,” Cheryl Kitzerow, director of community development, said. “These regulations are designed to be user-friendly to help the city and applicants achieve the vision, goals and objectives set forth by th
