Northbound I-15 traffic snarled as possible jumper stops traffic

TEMECULA — The California Highway Patrol issued a SIG Alert during rush hour on Northbound Interstate 15 Thursday, Jan. 23 in response to a juvenile male standing on a ledge on Santiago Road bridge over the freeway.The young male was ultimately persuaded to come down from the ledge with the help of emergency personnel and all lanes were opened by 6:40 p.m."A young male juvenile was safely taken down from the Santiago bridge over I-15 this evening," CHP Officer Mike Lassig said. "Temecula (Police Department) and Cal Fire all (were) involved in the safety of the male subject. The northbound lanes were closed down for approximately 15 minutes until negotiators were able to convince the subject to move away from the traffic lanes of the northbound I-15.”First reported by the CH
