Riverside County appoints new chief probation officer

RIVERSIDE COUNTY – The Riverside County Board of Supervisors appointed Ronald L. Miller as Riverside County’s new chief probation officer.Miller has 32 years of probation experience, most of which have been with the Riverside County Probation Department. He previously held the position of Riverside County assistant chief probation officer before being appointed as interim chief in September 2019. He leads a department of 850 employees who supervise nearly 11,000 adult and 1,300 juvenile clients.“I am humbled and honored for the opportunity to lead the fine men and women of the Riverside County Probation Department,†Miller said. “I appreciate the confidence the board of supervisors has in me and will work hard to provide the vital and unique services probation provides.â€
