The Friends Uniting Neighbors Group and the Fishes and Loaves group from Living Hope Christian Fellowship of Anza, with many volunteers, invited Valley residents to a free home-cooked meal Sunday, Jan. 26, at the Community Hall in Anza.The event was the first of this year’s monthly meals served by the organizations. The community dinner is held on the last Sunday of the month. For Thanksgiving and Christmas, the dinners are held on the actual holidays, as volunteers prepare, serve and clean to ensure a fine event for all those attending.Huge portions of spaghetti, lasagna, salad, several different soups and Italian bread were served Sunday; cupcakes and gelatin desserts were also offered to attendees.Everyone in the community is welcome.
