The high school winter sports season is one of the shorter seasons, for the most part, due to the holiday break, but the overall goal is still the same when it comes to winning. With the end of the regular season in the rearview mirror, this week mark’s the start of the post season for boys’ and girls’ basketball and soccer, as well as girl’s water polo and wrestling.On the basketball courts there seemed to be a changing of the guard within some of the local leagues, especially the Southwestern League. The Great Oak High School boys took the title this year with an undefeated run in league, sporting an overall 23-4 record. Murrieta Mesa High School found themselves at the top of the standings as well, coming right behind the Wolfpack at 7-3 (18-7 overall). For the girls, it was
