Four candidates seek to replace Washington in Supervisors District 3 seat

Staff WriterRiverside County Board of Supervisors Third District incumbent Chuck Washington is facing a crowded field of challengers for his board seat on March 3. Washington, who has served as mayor of Temecula and Murrieta during his 25 years of public service, is running for reelection to the Board of Supervisors after taking the seat in 2015. He will be challenged by Edison Gomez-Krauss, Joseph Scarafone, Courtney Sheehan, and Mike Juarez. The third district stretches from Idyllwild to Anza Borrego Desert State Park, and from Temecula to San Jacinto.
