HS SPORTS: Winter sports playoffs winding down as local teams fight for the finish

The high school winter sports playoffs have taken their toll on many of the top local teams, knocking them out early in the postseason brackets. Only a few teams remain in the basketball, soccer and girls’ water polo playoffs, which includes Rancho Christian High School (Open Division boys’ basketball playoffs), Linfield Christian High School (Division 5A boys’ basketball playoffs), Hemet High School (Division 3A girls’ basketball playoffs), Paloma Valley High School (Division 4AA girls’ basketball playoffs), Orange Vista High School (Division 4AA girls’ basketball playoffs), San Jacinto Valley Academy (Division 5AA girls’ basketball playoffs), Temecula Valley High School (Division 6 girls’ water polo playoffs), Hemet (Division 4 girls’ soccer playoffs), Linfield Christia
