West Coast Performing Arts and Cruisin’ Oldies Concerts are bringing The Alley Cats’ Doo Wop Special back to the Old Town Temecula Community Theater Thursday, Feb. 27, by popular demand.According to producer Mark Curran, The Alley Cats are America’s doo-wop group, serving up “a perfect blend of 1950s and 60s hits and hilarious comedy.”The four-part harmony group has been Jay Leno’s opening act for the past seven years.“It’s a unique show that requires no band, it’s strictly a capella, yet it’s more entertaining than most band-backed shows,” Curran said. “Very few groups mix comedy, doo-wop and audience participation like The Alley Cats.“They have comedic bits they do, sparring with one another and joking with the audience, but it’s clean humor,â€
