Murrieta Mesa swim team makes a splash in first meet of the season

The Murrieta Mesa High School boys’ and girls’ swim team attended their first meet of the season Saturday, Feb. 22, at the Riverside Poly High School Pentathlon. Swimmers at this meet either competed in five freestyle events or five medley events.In the girls’ division, Murrieta Mesa won by 121 points, and in the boys’ division, they also won with 121 points with a combined win overall with 242.“It was a great team effort and overall Mesa swimmers took first place in all divisions,” Coach Jenn Beech said.Murrieta Mesa High School coaches Jenn Beech, left, and Audra Woods, far right, with their top performers Saturday, Feb. 22, at the Riverside Poly High School Pentathlon.
