Temecula to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day

TEMECULA – World Down Syndrome Day is observed annually March 21. This day was chosen to symbolize the third copy of chromosome 21 in Trisomy 21, the most common form.Temecula will host a celebration in recognition of Down Syndrome Awareness at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 21, at City Hall, 41000 Main St. At this early evening gathering, individuals and families with Down syndrome participate in activities to raise public awareness and create a single global voice for advocating for the inclusion of people with Down syndrome.“2020 is the year of #TemeculaFUN with a focus on family and friends, and this will be a wonderful family-friendly event that celebrates the positive and rewarding contributions those with Down syndrome make in our hometown and around the world,” Temecula Mayor
