TEMECULA – World Down Syndrome Day is observed annually March 21. This day was chosen to symbolize the third copy of chromosome 21 in Trisomy 21, the most common form. Temecula will host a celebration in recognition of Down Syndrome Awareness at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 21, at City Hall, 41000 Main St. At this early evening gathering, individuals and families with Down syndrome participate in activities to raise public awareness and create a single global voice for advocating for the inclusion of people with Down syndrome. “2020 is the year of #TemeculaFUN with a focus on family and friends, and this will be a wonderful family-friendly event that celebrates the positive and rewarding contributions those with Down syndrome make in our hometown and around the world,” Temecula Mayor
