PALM SPRINGS (CNS) - Three patients from the Desert AIDS Project COVID-19 clinic in Palm Springs tested positive for the respiratory virus and are self-quarantining today, an official said.
Two of the patients are older than 55 and the third patient, who had recently traveled internationally, is older than 30 years old, according to Desert AIDS Project director of community development Steven Henke.
On Friday afternoon, Riverside County health officials updated the number of cases countywide to 28. The new number includes three more cases in the Coachella Valley, one in the western county and two more in southwest Riverside County, said Jose Arballo, spokesman for the Riverside University Health System.
