MORENO VALLEY (CNS) - A Moreno Valley program that provides food to seniors and the disabled is going at full speed trying to meet demand amid coronavirus-related economic hardships that have also increased pressures on local nonprofits that serve the needy.The city-sponsored MoVal Meals opened to the public a week ago and is already delivering provisions to more than 500 residents, according to the city manager's office."Our MoVal Meals program is the newcomer to the work of food assistance that's provided every day in our community by faith-based and nonprofit organizations," Mayor Yxstian Gutierrez said.
