RIVERSIDE (CNS) - Gusty winds will buffet the Riverside County mountains and the Coachella Valley this morning before temperatures warm up for the middle of the week, according to the National Weather Service.
A wind advisory will last until 8 a.m. today in the Riverside County mountains, the Coachella Valley and the San Gorgonio Pass near Banning.
Winds out of the west are expected to be 15-25 mph, with gusts possibly reaching 45 mph in the northern portion of the Coachella Valley.
NWS forecasters warned that the gusty winds could make travel hazardous for high-profile vehicles.
There is a 20% chance of rain in the county mountains and the Riverside metropolitan area this morning, but no rain is expected in the San Gorgonio Pass or the Coachella Valley, forecasters said.
