The Southern Section offices released the selections for the All CIF boys’ and girls’ high school basketball teams, picking quite a few local players from around the area, including Player of the Year Mya Pierfax from Paloma Valley High School and her coach Matt Dale, who was named the Division 4AA Coach of the Year.Dale, who was already honored as CIF Southern Section Coach of the Year, led the Wildcats to a 34-3 record this season. Paloma Valley went 13-1 in winning the Sunbelt League title, won the CIF Division 4AA championship and won its first four games of the CIF State tournament.
