MENIFEE - Riverside County Sheriff's Department investigators have identified a suspect in the death of a man found suffering from a head injury last month on the side of Highway 74 in Menifee, the department announced.The victim, 60-year-old Jose Gonzalez of Menifee, was hospitalized for more than a week before he succumbed to his injuries on June 1.On May 20, deputies from the sheriff's Perris Station received word of a "man down" on Highway 74 near Trumble Road, just east of Interstate 215, according to sheriff's homicide Sgt. Rick Espinoza.
