The Friends Uniting Neighbors Group and the Living Hope Christian Fellowship of Anza’s Fishes and Loaves invited Valley residents to a free home-cooked barbecue meal Sunday, May 31, at the Community Hall in Anza. After being on hold for the last two months, the event was the first of the monthly meals served by the organizations to incorporate social distancing into the program. A path defined by traffic cones provided an orderly route for participants to receive food tickets and pick up the hot boxed meals without leaving their automobiles. Normally held on the last Sunday of the month, the festive volunteer-prepared dinners have been discouraged by the county’s coronavirus pandemic mandates. Lionel Balcom volunt
