RIVERSIDE (CNS) - Temperatures will continue heating up Tuesday in Riverside County amid a heat wave that will last through Thursday, according to the National Weather Service. High pressure will continue to strengthen through Thursday, causing the mercury to rise in most parts of the county, forecasters said. Temperatures will drop to around average when low pressure arrives on Friday. Winds out of the east will be calmer than Monday, with winds speeds around 15 mph expected and gusts possibly reaching 30 mph. High temperatures today are forecast to reach 103 in the Coachella Valley, 93 in the San Gorgonio Pass near Banning, 95 in Hemet, 97 in Riverside, 96 in Lake Elsinore, 95 in Temecula and 79 in Idyllwild.
