Guests delighted with reopening of Soboba Casino

Mike Hiles, Special to Valley NewsShortly after its anniversary in March, the Soboba Casino Resort temporarily closed amid the coronavirus pandemic. The California governor’s orders required people to stay home and businesses to close their doors and furlough employees. The Soboba Band of Luiseño Indians reopened the resort casino Wednesday, May 27, and guests flocked to the casino to enjoy gaming fun once again.The Soboba Band of Luiseño Indians operates the Soboba Casino Resort and the Soboba Springs Golf Course on its tribal land, and the Tribal Council said helping the community return to recreational activities they enjoy will help everyone heal as they all try to become accustomed to a new normal.
