Stretch of triple-digit heat continues in Riverside County

RIVERSIDE (CNS) - Triple-digit temperatures are expected to continue today in the Riverside County metropolitan area, the San Gorgonio Pass near Banning and the Coachella Valley as a result of a heat wave that will keep those areas scorching hot through Monday. A strong system of high pressure is building over Arizona and New Mexico, ushering in sweltering heat in most of Southern California through Monday, forecasters said.
