RIVERSIDE (CNS) - Riverside County health officials today reported another 711 confirmed COVID-19 infections and 29 additional coronavirus deaths.
The aggregate number of cases recorded since the public health documentation period began in early March is 40,452, compared to 39,741 on Thursday, and the death toll rose to 799.
The number of known active virus cases countywide is 18,532, an increase of 335 from Thursday, according to figures. The active count is derived by subtracting deaths and recoveries from the current total — 40,452 — according to the county Executive Office.
The number of confirmed patient recoveries is 21,121. The county defines a recovery as someone who has not manifested symptoms for 14 days.
