County approves law enforcement services contract with Lake Elsinore

Riverside County will be providing 27 full-time equivalent sheriff’s deputies to the city of Lake Elsinore.A 5-0 Riverside County Board of Supervisors vote Tuesday, Aug. 4, approved a five-year law enforcement services agreement between the county and the city. The agreement is retroactive to July 1 and will expire June 30, 2025.Lake Elsinore is expected to reimburse the county $14,010,000 for the law enforcement services during fiscal year 2020-2021 and $77,300,000 for the full five-year period.
