Brushfire south of Corona prompts multi-agency blaze

CORONA (CNS) - A brushfire burning south of Corona scorched an outbuilding and nearby vegetation this morning, spurring a multi-agency response that included a Cal Fire air tanker. The non-injury fire was reported about 8:40 a.m. Friday, Aug. 14 in the 4400 block of Joseph Canyon Trail, in unincorporated Riverside County south of Corona, according to the Riverside County Fire Department. Responding firefighters encountered a small outbuilding on fire along with one acre of nearby brush. Firefighters with the Corona Fire Department and U.S. Forest Service responded to assist. There was no immediate word on what sparked the blaze.
