NUEVO (CNS) - Two men suspected of gunning down a 61-year-old man in Nuevo were behind bars Thursday, Aug. 20.
Isaiah Ralph Lugo, 23, and Charles Richard Trevino, 24, were both arrested Wednesday and booked on suspicion of murder at the Byrd Detention Detection Center in Murrieta, where each is being held in lieu of $1 million bail.
According to Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. Ben Ramirez, the pair allegedly attacked Abdallah Abushawish of San Jacinto outside a business in the 29600 block of Nuevo Road, near Reservoir Avenue, about 9:40 a.m. Wednesday.
The circumstances and a possible motive were not disclosed, but according to Ramirez, the victim was shot multiple times.
