TEMECULA (CNS) - Three people were hospitalized Saturday, Aug. 22 morning after being freed from the wreckage of a vehicle that went off the Temecula Valley (15) Freeway in Temecula and crashed in a nearby intersection. Firefighters responded to Fifth and Mercedes streets at 1:10 a.m. and located the vehicle and trapped persons, according to the Riverside County Fire Department, which initially reported two people were trapped in the vehicle. At 1:35 a.m., the department announced three people were freed from the vehicle and taken to a hospital in unknown condition. The vehicle was being driven recklessly at high speeds prior to the crash, according to the California Highway Patrol. The names of the victims were not disclosed.
