Woman killed in 2-vehicle wreck in Temecula identified

TEMECULA  (CNS) - Authorities today publicly identified a 53-year-old woman killed in a head-on collision in Temecula that injured another driver.Lynne Green of Temecula died at the scene of the crash, which occurred about 10:35 p.m. Tuesday on Pauba Road, just east of Margarita Road, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.Sgt. Joseph Greco said the collision occurred when an eastbound Mercedes-Benz crossed into oncoming traffic on Pauba, hitting a Subaru Forester.It was unclear whether Green was at the wheel of the sedan or the compact SUV. The other driver suffered minor injuries and did not require hospitalization.Sheriff's officials were expected to release additional details later today.
