BANNING (CNS) - Thick smoke from the El Dorado Fire burning near Yucaipa could impact residents in neighboring Riverside County Monday, Sept. 7. The wildfire, which had razed more than 7,300 acres and was 7% contained as of Monday morning, has led to numerous evacuation orders in San Bernardino County. Cal Fire officials said the blaze was sparked at about 10:20 a.m. Saturday by a smoke machine used at a gender-reveal party at El Dorado Ranch Park. Record heat and dry conditions have helped the fire quickly spread north to the Yucaipa Ridge, fire officials said. The U.S. Forest Service said that smoke from the fire will likely affect portions of the Inland Empire and the San Gorgonio Pass.
