Extradition pending for second man accused in deadly shooting

RIVERSIDE (CNS) - One of two men accused of gunning down a customer at a Riverside hookah bar last year is behind bars in Arizona, awaiting extradition to Riverside County, authorities said Monday, Sept. 21. Andrew Lewis Jones of San Jacinto is charged with first-degree murder for the Aug. 17, 2019, slaying of 27-year-old Derrick Carlisle near the intersection of University and Iowa avenues. Jones' co-defendant, 31-year-old Dontay Dwayne Davis of Corona, is also charged with murder, as well as sentence-enhancing gun and great bodily injury allegations. Davis was arrested last month after homicide detectives served a search warrant at his home on Homestead Road.
