Iowa man fatally injured in head-on collision near Aguanga

AGUANGA (CNS) - A 34-year-old man who was killed in a head-on collision near Aguanga that also seriously injured another motorist was a resident of Sioux City, Iowa, authorities reported Monday, Oct. 12. Janda Khamnoy was at the wheel of a 2000 Honda Accord going east on Highway 371 at roughly 60 mph when the sedan drifted over the double yellow lines just west of Wilson Valley Road about 1 p.m. Sunday, according to the California Highway Patrol. Officer Mike Lassig said a 45-year-old Indio man was driving his 2010 GMC Sierra pickup westbound on the highway and encountered the Honda coming directly at him.
