Man suspected of gunning down Lake Elsinore resident
LAKE ELSINORE (CNS) - A 19-year-old man suspected of fatally shooting a fellow Lake Elsinore resident in a possible gang-related attack near the north end of the lake was being held Friday, Oct. 16 in lieu of $1 million bail.
Noah Arath Buenrostro was arrested Thursday and booked into the Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta on suspicion of murdering 21-year-old Gustavo Morales, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
The shooting happened about 10 p.m. Wednesday in the 500 block of Quail Drive, near Joy Street, less than a quarter mile from the lake. Deputies were called to the location to investigate reports of a man down and discovered Morales dead at the scene, Sgt. Steve Brosche said.
