As reported previously, a dispute arose between Fazeli Cellars LLC and De Portola Winery and others. As part of this dispute, Valley News published information that was received from Rick Neugebauer, who also made comments to the Temecula Valley Winegrowers Association concerning Mr. Fazeli. Following the statements, Mr. Fazeli filed litigation against Mr. Neugebauer for defamation, which was proceeding in Riverside Superior Court.Recently, the case was settled, and Mr. Neugebauer issued the following retraction and apology regarding comments that he may have made, both to the Valley News and also to the Wine Growers Association.
