County partners with master gardeners to provide virtual classes

RIVERSIDE COUNTY – Looking for a safe, socially distanced way to learn how to cultivate water-efficient landscaping at home or how to compost at home? The Riverside County Department of Waste Resources hosts free virtual and live classes that can be accessed on any computer, tablet or smartphone. Attend the Backyard Composting and Vermicomposting class live online Saturday, Nov. 7, or Saturday, Nov. 21, at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Learn to use landscape waste to make compost in the backyard and how to turn food waste into plant food using worms. Attendees can buy compost bins from the county for $12 each with a limit of three per household.
