RIVERSIDE (CNS) - Riverside County health officials reported 306 newly confirmed coronavirus cases and two additional virus-related deaths Wednesday, Oct. 28, along with a drop in hospitalizations connected to COVID-19.
The aggregate number of COVID-19 infections recorded since the public health documentation period began in early March is 67,299, compared to 66,993 on Tuesday, according to the Riverside University Health System. The virus-related death toll now stands at 1,305, officials said.
The number of known active virus cases countywide is 5,822, up 41 from Tuesday. The active count is derived by subtracting deaths and recoveries from the current total -- 67,299 -- according to the county Executive Office. The number of verified patient recoveries is 60,172.
