Riverside County reports 420 new COVID-19 cases, 5 new deaths

RIVERSIDE (CNS) - Riverside County health officials reported 420 newly confirmed coronavirus cases and five additional virus-related deaths on Wednesday, as the number of hospitalizations tied to COVID-19 continued to edge up countywide.The aggregate number of COVID-19 infections recorded since the public health documentation period began in early March is 69,827, compared to 69,407 on Tuesday, according to the Riverside University Health System.Officials said the number of deaths tied to COVID-19 stands at 1,329, five more than Tuesday.The number of known active cases countywide is 6,489, an increase of 136 from the day before.
